What 𖩓 means
It writes Mro’s rolled r-like consonant. The tongue tip vibrates to make this consonant. 𖩓 is one letter in the alphabet used to write Mro, also called Mru, a language spoken in southeastern Bangladesh and nearby Myanmar.
A community account dates the script’s design to 1981 and its publication to 1984. Menley Mro designed it to support Mro writing after village schools had used the Marma alphabet. The script also became linked to the Krama religious movement and is sometimes called Krama.
In a Krama text, this letter is part of Mro writing associated with that movement. In other Mro writing, it contributes its usual consonant sound; it has no separate meaning on its own.
How do I type 𖩓?
Use Unicode input or a dedicated Mro keyboard layout.
A Latin R key inserts Latin R, not 𖩓. If your system offers Unicode hexadecimal input, enter U+16A53 through that method. The app and font must both support Mro for the letter to display.
A Linux Mro layout documented in 2013 used sound-based keys and AltGr layers. Font support is separate: without an Mro glyph, the text may appear as a box or question mark even when encoded correctly.
