What 𑊌 means
In some historical spellings.
Multani grew from Landa in the 18th century. It was a script for Seraiki, spoken in Punjab and northern Sindh, and for routine business. Missionary printers made metal type for Christian books; the first, a New Testament, appeared in 1819.
In the first quarter of the 20th century, some sources used 𑊌 for ja and breathier jha. Printed and handwritten forms vary; fonts handle variants at font level. Arabic became standard for Sindhi in the late 19th century; by 2026, Seraiki uses Arabic script. A box can mean the font lacks Multani coverage.
