What ߽ means
It marks a compact abbreviation for a unit of measure.
As a unit abbreviation in N’Ko, dantayalan attaches to the letter or group of letters that identifies the measure. Examples include abbreviations for kilometre, gram, metre, litre, millimetre and square centimetre.
N’Ko was devised in 1949. A 2012 N’Ko grammar and map legends document this measurement use. Its Unicode encoding in 2018 records the character, not the start of the practice.
Technical notation for compact unit names.
If ߽ looks detached, check the font: it should join the unit letters along their baseline.
