What ߸ means
In N’Ko punctuation, ߸ marks a short pause or phrase break.
N’Ko was devised in 1949 for Manding writing after Arabic- and Latin-based attempts missed tone, the pitch differences that help distinguish words.
Why does ߸ look misplaced?
N’Ko runs right to left; check the paragraph direction.
An incorrect base direction can reorder mixed-script text, and some fonts leave a gap before ߸. That changes how it looks, not its punctuation role.
