What ߹ means
It closes a sentence with emphasis. It is the N’Ko punctuation mark in an alphabet used for Manding languages such as Maninka, Dyula, and Bamanan.
An N’Ko Institute history dates the script’s completion to 1947; a scholarly history dates its creation to 1949, after Arabic- and Latin-based trials failed to represent Manding sounds and tones.
Within N’Ko writing, it is ordinary punctuation; elsewhere, it signals a deliberate N’Ko-script choice.
As of 2026, if ߹ shows as a square, the font or text viewer may lack N’Ko support.
