What ⬁ means
⬁ is the north west white arrow. Unicode classifies it as an “other symbol” — Unicode's shelf for signs that are neither maths, money nor punctuation and files it in the Miscellaneous Symbols and Arrows block; this site shelves it under Stars & signs.
Its appearance depends on the font and text styling.
How it is encoded
⬁ is a single code point, U2B01. In HTML that is ⬁, and in CSS \2B01.

3Questions people ask
1Why does ⬁ show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Miscellaneous Symbols and Arrows block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
