What ㈪ means
It labels Monday in Japanese calendars and schedules.
Japanese weekday names reached Japan through Buddhist astrology texts transmitted across Central Asia and China. A record is inferred for 919; the oldest surviving Japanese calendar is from 998. The labels served divination and auspicious-day choices. In Japan, changes in 1873 and 1876—the shift to a solar calendar and a weekly-rest rule—helped move them into ordinary scheduling.
Compatibility normalization, a text conversion that rewrites special forms as ordinary characters, can turn ㈪ into (月).

1Why does ㈪ show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
