right-pointing atomic bomb

Right-Pointing Atomic Bomb

99/686

𜱢 is a right-pointing atomic-bomb sprite from a Sharp MZ computer character set. That set supplied ready-made game graphics; sent in a tense chat, this picture can still look like a threat.

Text symbol

What 𜱢 means

It came from the Sharp MZ European alternate set.

The MZ-700 (1982) stored 512 ready-made 88 pictures for text screens and game graphics. Unicode’s mapping identifies this glyph as slot 54. The same set contains three other bomb directions and a separate mushroom-cloud symbol.

The old game sprite still depicts an atomic bomb; its direction does not soften that image.

Alone in a tense chat, it can read as a threat.
