What 🮊 means

It fills three quarters of a character cell from the right. On fixed-cell displays, tiles like this could be placed together to make coarse pictures without controlling every pixel.

The older family of computer and terminal block graphics was already represented in Unicode in 1991; later additions preserved graphics from more systems. The wider source group includes home microcomputers built from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, and teletext, a UK television service for information pages and simple block pictures that began in the early 1970s.

Why does 🮊 show as a box?

It depends on the font. As of 2026, some fonts have only partial coverage of this block; if yours lacks this glyph, the app may show a missing-glyph box. That box is a rendering fallback.
