What 🮉 means
A fractional fill tile for text-mode pictures.
Adjacent characters can complete a bar or image; this one defines only its own cell.
Where did this shape come from?
It belongs to an older screen-graphics family.
Teletext, an early TV information service, sent simple block graphics from the early 1970s. Home computers also drew with character cells. In 2019, Unicode contributors proposed this legacy set to preserve old text and support emulators and text-mode apps. They supplied descriptive names because original manuals often showed unlabeled charts.
A technical display symbol for diagrams and text art.
If the shape is missing, check font coverage: BabelStone Shapes v. 15.0.0 includes 🮉.
