Rightwards arrow-tail

In a formula, ⤚ is a math arrow placed between the expressions it relates; the surrounding notation tells you what relation it marks. In Haskell, a programming language, >- is its documented ASCII alternative.

What ⤚ means

It marks a relation between expressions; the notation defines which one. MathML, a format for writing mathematics on the web, classifies ⤚ as an infix operator: it sits between the expressions it relates.

A 1999 Unicode technical listing includes ⤚; a 2000 math-symbols proposal groups arrow-tail forms with supplemental mathematical arrows. Its related forms include the left-pointing arrow-tail ⤙ and double arrow-tails ⤛ and ⤜.

Technical and mathematical; it reads as notation, not conversational tone.

Do not read it as a plain right arrow: the surrounding notation supplies its relation.
