What 𘥝 means
It is a Tangut component, not a word on its own.
Components are pieces used to index and analyze full Tangut ideographs. In an Ideographic Description Sequence (IDS), a compact formula showing how a character’s parts fit together, 𘥝 is a notation element rather than a complete character to read or translate alone. A component’s role depends on its place in the whole character.
Tangut, also called Xixia, was created by Western Xia emperor Li Yuanhao in 1036 for a Tangut Buddhist scripture collection and a distinct state identity from Song China. Its principles of character composition were inspired by Chinese writing, but Tangut is a separate script. Tangut writing continued after the Mongol conquest and disappeared by the end of the Ming dynasty. A manuscript from Khara-Khoto, a ruined site in Inner Mongolia, probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. Scholars rediscovered the script in the late 19th century.
Expect this component in Tangut indexes, descriptions of character structure, and digital input tools.
Alone, 𘥝 is a component or analysis element, not a complete Tangut character.
