What 𘨥 means
In dictionaries, components such as 𘨥 serve as indexing radicals, or filing keys, and help describe larger characters. Their shapes have no fixed one-to-one meanings; 550 identifies an inventory entry, not a translation.
The Tangut script was formally introduced around 1036 CE under Li Yuanhao. It supported Western Xia (Xixia) state-building and Buddhist translation, then recorded religious, official, and secular texts. Its design drew on Chinese writing principles and paralleled the separate Khitan script, another regional writing tradition, but it was not derived from Chinese writing.
Technical and archival: a marker of Tangut-script scholarship.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘨥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
