What ༰ means
At a number’s end, ༰ stands for 6½. In ༤༰, ༤ is the tens digit and the numeral reads 46½.
A 1933 Tibetan postage stamp uses ༱ for 7½; a 1918–1925 coin spells out that value. Neither example uses ༰.
A 2000 report says crossed digits in Buddhist proportion plans and Tibetan astrology may mark calculation, not “minus one-half.” Check context before reading a crossed form as a fraction.
