What 💢 means
From Japanese manga, around the 1960s and 70s. Artists drew crossed, bulging veins on an angry character's temple as shorthand for blood rushing to the head. Later the mark floated free onto hair or even objects and became a standalone anger mark, mostly in comic scenes. One Japanese name for it is 怒りマーク, "anger mark"; in English it is often called the anger vein.
