Block Octant-24568

𜶦 is a 2-by-4 tile with five filled cells. Kaypro home computers used such tiles to draw on text screens; Unicode preserves this one for converting old character data and making terminal mosaics.

What 𜶦 means

It filled a tile in a text-screen picture. A 1983 guide for the Kaypro 10 home computer explains how lit and blank cells in a two-column, four-row grid drew pictures. Numbering left to right, top to bottom, this pattern fills positions 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8; Kaypro's character table maps it to code F5.
