What 訒 means
It describes speech held back by caution or difficulty.
The Analects, a classical collection of sayings associated with Confucius, uses it in 其言也訒: a person guided by 仁 (humaneness, a central Confucian virtue) speaks slowly and carefully. The Han-era dictionary Shuowen Jiezi defines it with 頓 (“slow or delayed”) and analyzes it as 言, the speech element, plus 刃, used for its sound.
Later dictionaries gloss it as 難言 (“hard to say”), while commentaries also stress reluctance to speak. The thread is speech that does not come lightly.
Where does 訒 appear in Japanese and Korean?
It appears in Japanese and Korean character references too.
Japanese kanji references—kanji are characters used in Japanese—list it outside the everyday-use set, with readings じん (roughly “jeen”) and にん (“neen”) and a sense of hesitating to speak. Korean Hanja references, which cover Chinese-derived characters used in Korean, give the reading 인 (roughly “een”) and a “stammer” sense.
Should I send 訒 alone?
Usually only if your reader expects classical Chinese.
Use it when quoting the Analects, discussing classical Chinese, or deliberately choosing an old-fashioned voice. Alone, it points to restrained speech, not a specific emotion; read the surrounding message before deciding what the sender means.
Literary and classical; it gives speech a measured, deliberately old-text tone.
Alone, it may look like a typo or obscure name; do not infer a mood.

1Why does 訒 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
