What 𘲕 means
It is a sound transcription, not a translation.
A 2010 encoding proposal links this glyph to an, the Latin-letter form used for its Khitan reading.
What happened to Khitan writing after the Liao?
It continued under Jurchen rule.
The small script developed in 10th-century northern Asia to write Khitan. Its design combined Chinese-character patterns with the script used by neighboring Uighurs, though the forms look different.
After the Liao dynasty fell, Khitan remained in use under the Jurchen-ruled Jin: a 1170 tomb inscription honors a Jurchen general in Khitan text. The 12th-century Jurchen scripts adapted Khitan models.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘲕 show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 13.0 (2020), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
