What 𖺉 means

Each place to the left is worth twenty times the one before it.

Obɛri Ɔkaimɛ (Church freely given) was a Christian community in southeastern Nigeria. Members created Medefaidrin, its sacred language, and a script to write it. Church tradition traces the language to a spiritual revelation in 1927; the church was active in the 1930s. R. F. G. Adams’s 1947 article shows its numerals.

In 2010, linguists documented the endangered language and its texts for preservation and teaching.
