right-pointing rifle

Right-Pointing Rifle

104/686

𜱧 is a rifle picture facing right, carried over from a Sharp MZ-700 character set. It was a pre-drawn screen graphic; in a message it reads as a gun, so the surrounding words set the tone.

What 𜱧 means

It is a Sharp MZ-700 display graphic. The home computer appeared in 1982; this gun drawing belonged to its European alternate character set.

The MZ-700 used 88-pixel character cells instead of freely drawn bitmap graphics, so stored shapes worked like small tiles for screen pictures and games. This rifle could not be typed like an ordinary keyboard character on that machine: a program in BASIC, its programming language, had to put alternate-set characters on screen with POKE, a command that writes a value directly to a chosen memory address.

A literal rifle graphic with retro-computing roots; the surrounding words determine the tone.

Sent alone, it can read as a threat; add context if that is not your intent.
