What 𜰨 means

It marks the lower-right cell of a four-part mosaic. “Separated” means the dark patch leaves a narrow gap.

Teletext, a British TV text service, developed in the early 1970s and used mosaics for simple graphics, with cells joined or apart. Home computers also arranged blocks like coarse pixels, a method called semigraphics. Encoding separated cells separately lets text and emulators preserve their gaps.
