What 𜲂 means

It is a rightward game graphic with a striped fill. Unicode’s proposal groups it with game sprites (small on-screen game images) and maps it to ▶, the solid triangle pointing the same way. The wider set covers computers from the mid-1970s to mid-1980s and teletext, TV broadcasts of text and pictures. It was encoded for emulators and text exchange. Early character charts often lacked names; proposal authors supplied descriptive ones.

Why does 𜲂 show as a box?

The font or emulator may lack a drawing for it. As of 2026, some terminal emulators can draw these symbols themselves when fonts lack glyphs. Try a font or terminal with legacy-symbol support.
