What 𜲷 means

It is one tile in a four-part computer icon. The source table maps it to code 7C in the Sharp MZ European alternate display set.

Sharp MZ text screens used character cells as ready-made graphics. Unicode's 2022 proposal gave these pieces descriptive names and mappings for emulation and file conversion. On MZ-700/800, the alternate set was not typed from the keyboard; BASIC programs used POKE, a command that writes values to memory.

Questions people ask

1

Why does 𜲷 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
