What ⮅ means
Up, with extra force, or two things rising together. Doubling an arrow is an old way to stress it: one arrow says "up", two say "up a lot" or "up by two steps". In notes and diagrams a double up arrow can mark a sharp rise, a jump of two levels, or two lines that both move up in parallel.
⮅ belongs to a small family of triangle-headed paired arrows added to Unicode in version 7.0, with matching forms pointing left (), right () and down (). They were encoded so documents drawn with these chunkier arrow designs keep their exact look. If you only need the meaning, the older is better supported by fonts.

3Questions people ask
2Is ⮅ an emoji?
No. It is a plain text symbol with no emoji version, so it takes the colour of the surrounding text.
Why do I see a box instead of ⮅?
Your font lacks it. It is a rare symbol; try a broad symbol font, or use the better-supported instead.
