What 🡩 means
It marks upward direction; the diagram tells what moves.
A 2011 Unicode and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) proposal identifies Barb2 as a Wingdings arrow. Unicode encoding lets the design travel as text beyond Wingdings' font-specific mapping.
In 2015, Unicode discussion noted incomplete font coverage for new arrows. A box or fallback glyph means the display font may lack 🡩; the text still contains the same character.
Technical and neutral; it fits diagrams and typography.

1Why does 🡩 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
