Apollon

219/246

⯤ is the Apollon glyph in Uranian astrology, a modern chart system that uses proposed points beyond Neptune; astrologers associate it with expansion, multiplication, science, and commerce. They read it through relationships to other chart points. It is a modern astrology sign, not an established ancient Greek emblem for Apollo.

What ⯤ means

It signals expansion, multiplication, and wide-ranging activity. Uranian astrologers also associate Apollon with many interests at once, science, and commerce.

Uranian astrology, also called the Hamburg School, adds eight proposed points beyond Neptune to charts. A “planetary picture” is a pattern in which one chart object falls halfway between two others; practitioners interpret Apollon through such relationships, not alone.

How did the Apollon symbol develop?

Alfred Witte developed the Hamburg method because he thought familiar planets left some chart patterns unexplained. The first Rules for Planetary Pictures, a book of chart-reading rules, covered his four proposed points—Cupido, Hades, Zeus, and Kronos—in 1928.

Friedrich Sieggrün presented Apollon as part of a second set in 1927. His four points, including Admetos, Vulcanus, and Poseidon, entered a later edition in 1946. In the 1930s, American astrologer Richard Svehla introduced Uranian Astrology as the English name for this branch.

Can ⯤ represent Apollo?

Only as a modern personal or community choice.

Some devotees connect it to Apollo through solar symbolism. An online Hellenism discussion in 2026 showed disagreement about whether the Uranian glyph fits that use; label it as a modern devotional choice when historical precision matters.

Specialist Uranian astrology notation; label it if you mean it as personal Apollo devotion.

It entered the Hamburg School in 1927; calling it an ancient Apollo emblem confuses modern and ancient use.
