Text symbol

What 𜵗 means

It marks four filled subcells in an eight-part mosaic.

An octant splits a character cell into two columns and four rows; the name's digits identify the filled pieces. On Kaypro computers running CP/M, semigraphics tiles let programs plot pixel-like blocks in text mode.

Unicode encoded earlier block graphics in 1991 for compatibility with established computer character sets; later additions support emulators.
