What 🬫 means
It gives a character cell a six-part pixel grid. The grid has two columns and three rows, numbered left to right and top to bottom; for 🬫, cells 2, 3, 4, and 6 are filled. Adjacent tiles can form a larger picture in a fixed-width font, while variable-width spacing may leave seams. Sextants add a finer mosaic to older box-drawing and block graphics.

1Why does 🬫 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
