What ᷐ means
It tells you to restore the ending -is.
In Visigothic Latin manuscripts, scribes placed a wavy or spiral stroke below b, m, n, or t to abbreviate -is. For example, nob᷐ expands to nobis (“to us”), script᷐ to scriptis (“written”), and dict᷐ to dictis (“said”).
Visigothic abbreviation practices adapted a Roman-rooted tradition and developed across the 8th to 14th centuries. The handwritten form varied; this digital character represents the abbreviation, not one fixed drawing.
Why does ᷐ need another letter to show?
It attaches below the base letter before it.
A dotted circle in a character chart is only a placement guide, not part of the mark. In text, place ᷐ immediately after its base letter so the font can position it below.
If the mark looks blank or misplaced, the font or text renderer may lack support. A Unicode picker can insert it after b, m, n, or t.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
