What ⯬ means
It is the leftward command in a four-arrow cursor set. The set is for rapid cursor movement, with this symbol marking the leftward direction.
Unicode’s names list identifies it as a preferred symbol in ISO 9995-7, the part of a keyboard standard that covers symbols.
Unicode committee minutes recorded the set’s acceptance in 2013.
How do I type ⯬?
In Microsoft Word, type 2BEC and press AltX. That shortcut turns the hexadecimal value into the symbol. In Windows Character Map, selecting it places the character on the clipboard for pasting. Other apps may provide a Unicode or character-insertion tool.
Technical and diagrammatic; in keyboard notation it labels rapid cursor movement to the left.
In ordinary chat, it can look like an unexplained decorative arrow.
