What means
It is a quarter of an old computer's television drawing. The glyph came from the European alternate display set for Sharp MZ home computers—a second built-in table of shapes for the screen. The Sharp MZ TV icon uses four cells; this character is its lower-left part. The character-based display used preset cells to build pictures. A 1983 account of Sharp’s MZ-700 home computer describes a 512-character set with a TV design and says the article’s writers helped shape that collection.
