What ⥇ means
The name “arrow through X” describes the drawing: a horizontal arrow crossed by two diagonal strokes. That X is built into ⥇; it is not a separate letter or a variable you need to substitute.
When transcribing a formula or diagram, keep the crossing. Replacing ⥇ with a plain arrow loses a distinction the author may be using. For the precise technical reading, use the notation's definition or legend; the X shape alone does not justify reading it as “wrong” or “cancelled.”

Questions people ask
1Why does ⥇ show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Supplemental Arrows-B block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
