What ⇢ means
Start with the notation's legend; ⇢ has no universal mathematical rule.
In one graph convention, a dashed edge marks a semilinear map: it preserves addition but may twist scalar multiplication. A solid edge marks a linear map, preserving both addition and scalar multiplication.
Technical in diagrams; pointed and intentional in casual text.
Do not infer implication, inheritance, or a workflow step from the dashes alone.
