What 𑗃 means
In Siddham punctuation, the double danda closes a paragraph or other large text unit. Its single counterpart, 𑗂, ends sentences and shorter sections, so the pair marks different scales of division.
Siddham belongs to the Brahmi family, a group of scripts that developed in India, and was used to write Buddhist texts in Sanskrit in China, Japan, and Korea. Hōryū-ji palm-leaf manuscripts, dated c. 6th–8th century, reached Japan from China in 609. Siddham is most closely related to Sharada, a script from Kashmir.
