Top Half Right-Facing Robot

𜱜 is the top half of a robot facing right. On Sharp’s early-1980s MZ-700 home computer, it was one tile in a game sprite, a small on-screen picture; the alternate character set could not be typed directly in BASIC.

What 𜱜 means

In the 1980s, the Sharp MZ-700 used this European alternate display set. Its ready-drawn character tiles made it possible to build game scenes on a text screen. Unicode preserves this tile as portable text: its picture remains the upper half of a robot facing right, while its role shifts from game image to stored character data.

Why does 𜱜 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
