What 𜱞 means

It comes from Sharp MZ's European alternate display set. The MZ-700, introduced in 1982, stored ready-made 8×8-pixel drawings in built-in memory; its robot group has six pieces, with top and bottom halves facing left, forward, or right. In BASIC, the computer's programming language, these alternate glyphs could not be entered at the keyboard; a program displayed them with POKE, a command that writes data to memory.

To rebuild the full forward-facing robot, place its matching top-half character 𜱛 on the line above 𜱞.

Why does 𜱞 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
