Two Rings Aligned Horizontally

𜲈 is two horizontal loops in one character, a tiny picture for an old computer screen. It preserves old graphics for conversion and emulation. In messages, read the shape literally; surrounding words add meaning.

What 𜲈 means

It keeps an old computer picture usable in modern text.

𜲈 is listed among terminal graphics—small pictures displayed with text. Unicode had already preserved computer line and block shapes for compatibility; later proposals added more home-computer symbols and teletext, text and simple images sent to TVs. The goal was to move old character data into Unicode and back and help emulators recreate its original screen.

A technical retro-computing mark with a literal shape.

Why does 𜲈 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
