What means
No; it is one tile in a four-part screen drawing.
On the Sharp MZ-700, released in 1982, this glyph belonged to the European alternate display set. Each quarter had its own screen cell; four cells in a 2 2 block formed the queen. “Quadrant” means a quarter of the drawing, not a chessboard region.
How did the Sharp MZ-700 display it?
It came from the display set, not a keypress.
A setting in each cell’s video-memory data selected the second character set. Video memory stored the screen contents, so the MZ-700 could show the graphic in its chosen cell.

Questions people ask
1Why does show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 16.0 (2024), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
