What ꋚ means
It means “food” or “crops” in Nuosu.
This syllable is written zza in the Latin-letter romanization used for Nuosu. A Liangshan lesson uses ꋚ for cooked rice or a meal and gives ꋚꁧ as its word for crops.
Older Yi writing had regional forms and appeared in religious, magical, medical, and genealogical texts. A dated example is an inscription on a bronze bell from 1485. The standardized Liangshan script was devised in 1974 to improve literacy and officially promulgated in 1980. It grew out of older Yi ideographic writing traditions, not Chinese Han characters, and is specific to Liangshan Nuosu.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
