Admission Tickets

Tickets that get you through the door of an event. The picture is a classic paper ticket with a perforated stub, the kind a cinema or theatre tears in half at the entrance, often with "ADMIT ONE" printed on it. In messages it stands for any ticket to something you attend: a gig, a film, a festival, a play, a football match, a theme park. It also does promotional duty: venues, artists and clubs put it next to "on sale now", "last few left" or "win a pair", and it can stand in for raffle and lottery tickets too.

As of 2026, most platforms draw a red or pink ticket, WhatsApp a yellow one and Huawei a blue one, and older Google and LG artwork showed a pair. So the emoji never tells anyone how many seats you have. If the number matters, write it.

What does it mean when someone sends 🎟️?

Usually: the tickets are sorted, you're coming. Sent with a date, a venue or a screenshot, 🎟️ is a quiet announcement that the booking is done, and a nudge that the plan is now real. Sent alone in reply to a show you mentioned, it can mean "count me in" or "I've got mine"; ask if you need to know which.
