block octant-47

Block Octant 47

𜴽 is one precise arrangement of filled mini-blocks, made to work like pixels in a drawing. Kaypro used 2×4 text cells for low-resolution screen graphics. Its old Kaypro code was FB, not the Unicode value used to enter it today.

What 𜴽 means

Two of the eight mini-blocks are filled. Those are parts 4 and 7; this glyph is one tile in a larger picture.

Kaypro semigraphics used 2×4 text cells like pixels for low-resolution drawings. The 1983 Kaypro 10 guide documents this method; the old reverse-graphics code for this pattern was FB, not its Unicode input value.

Why does 𜴽 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
