What 🬵 means
It is one tile, not a complete picture. Six cells form two columns and three rows, numbered across each row; this one fills cells 4, 5 and 6.
British teletext emerged in the early 1970s with simple block graphics for information pages, maps, graphs and charts. A shared format followed in 1974; the 1976 Broadcast Teletext Specification documented its 2×3 mosaic set. Home computers used related semigraphics. Spain's TVE began its teletext service in 1988.
In teletext, mosaic cells could touch or have thin gaps; the 1988 videotex standard describes separated mosaics. Unicode carries the character, not that display setting.
