What Ⓜ️ means
It means metro or subway in travel talk. Next to a station, line, or meeting time, read that blue M as subway directions and keep moving.
Away from travel, it is only the letter M wearing a circle. It can mark an initial or stand in for an M-word, and why does my circled M look plain? Without its emoji finish it falls back to monochrome text.

- The characters behind Ⓜ️ existed in Unicode 8 years before anyone was allowed to draw them in colour: Unicode 3.2 in 2002, emoji presentation in 2010.
- Ⓜ️ is not one character. It is 2 of them glued together, which is why deleting it sometimes takes two presses of backspace and why it breaks character counters.
