What ㇞ means
Use a Unicode input method for U31DE.
Unicode 5.1 encodes it as a text stroke symbol, so an emoji keyboard does not provide a shortcut. The exact keystrokes vary by operating system and input setup.
What does SZZ mean?
It labels a vertical stroke that bends twice.
SZZ uses initials from a Latin-letter spelling of Mandarin stroke names meaning vertical, bend, bend. It labels a component inside Han characters—the shared character tradition behind Chinese writing and Japanese kanji—mainly for analysis and indexing, not as a word to read aloud. A stroke reference uses it within 亞. KanjiVG, a Japanese kanji stroke-order reference, marks it rare and also uses it in forms containing 亞, including 壼.
What does its history show?
A proposal for Unicode lists it in 2006. The proposal added stroke forms used to describe encoded Han characters and source forms kept distinct when characters were unified across regions.
Unicode describes CJK strokes as structural components used chiefly for indexing Han characters. A 2014 discussion records SZZ in one Chinese stroke inventory but not in the simplified inventory it compares, a difference in inventory coverage.
A technical label for a stroke used in Han-character analysis and indexing.
Do not substitute ㇞ for 亞: it labels a component stroke, not the whole character.

The selected font may lack the glyph. Unicode input can insert ㇞ even when that font cannot draw it; try a font that covers the CJK Strokes block.
