What means
It supplied one curve piece for character-cell pictures.
The Sharp MZ line began with the MZ-80K in 1978. Its display used character graphics for semigraphics: small pictures built from glyphs inside text cells, the fixed boxes normally used for letters. The MZ European primary character table—the main character chart for that version—places this glyph at position B4, among directional circle arcs and quarter-circle pieces. A 2021 Unicode proposal sought to preserve this repertoire so legacy character data could move between old platforms and modern software, including emulators.
A multi-character curve needs evenly sized cells; a proportional font can pull adjoining pieces out of line. Use a fixed-width font for a composed drawing.

Questions people ask
1Why does show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 16.0 (2024), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
