Separated Block Sextant-135

𜹥 is a terminal-graphics tile: three separated blocks fill the left column of a six-cell grid. It reflects teletext, a TV text service; the gaps preserve its separated-graphics mode. Beside other tiles, it can form a larger, low-resolution picture.

What 𜹥 means

The gaps preserve teletext’s separated-graphics mode. Teletext began in the early 1970s in the United Kingdom, broadcasting text pages and simple block pictures to televisions.

Each character cell holds six smaller blocks. Separated mode leaves narrow gaps around selected blocks; contiguous mode joins them. A Unicode proposal in 2021 requested separate characters so software and emulators could preserve both layouts.

Why does 𜹥 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
