𜷬

top half left-facing runner frame-1

Left-facing runner upper half

𜷬 is the upper piece of a left-facing running figure from the Mattel Aquarius. Its built-in character grid let games assemble pictures from fixed graphic tiles. On its own, the figure is visibly incomplete.

What 𜷬 means

One top tile from a two-part runner pose.

The Mattel Aquarius used a fixed character grid for game pictures. In 1983, its graphic characters could make low-resolution animation. This is the upper tile of one left-facing pose.

In the original grid, the matching lower tile sat in the next row; a second pair changed the pose to suggest movement. In ordinary text, this glyph takes one slot, so the figure appears cropped.

Why does 𜷬 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
