What 🬲 means

It is one tile for building blocky text pictures. A sextant grid divides a single character space into two columns and three rows; this pattern fills four of six parts.

Teletext began in the UK in the early 1970s, sending information pages and block pictures to televisions. Home computers from the mid-1970s to mid-1980s used similar grids. France's Minitel, an online service on dedicated terminals, also used 2-by-3 blocks for graphics from the early 1980s. The Teletext specification let controls join the cells or leave narrow gaps.
