What დ means
It spells the d sound in Georgian words. Doni is a letter name; its numerical value applies when letters serve as numbers.
Its history belongs to the Georgian alphabet. The earliest securely documented surviving Georgian writing dates to the 5th century, in the older Asomtavruli script, including church texts in Palestine. An inscription at Bolnisi Sioni church in Georgia dates to 493/494.
Which Georgian don form is modern?
Use დ for everyday Georgian writing. Asomtavruli came first; Nuskhuri developed from it, and Mkhedruli grew from Nuskhuri. The historical and display counterparts are separate characters, not font errors or interchangeable decorations.
How do I type დ?
Press D on a Georgian QWERTY layout. Enable that layout in your device’s keyboard settings first.
