What 𘳔 means
The code-chart label does not give its reading.
The Khitan script has logograms (whole-word signs) and phonograms (sound signs). The number-based label does not reveal which kind 𘳔 is; phonograms often join in word blocks, while logograms usually stand alone.
Why does Khitan text use clusters?
Sound signs often join to spell one word.
Khitan text ran top to bottom in right-to-left columns. Signs in a sound cluster read across, then down. Digital layout can show vertical or horizontal clusters, or a plain row, so an isolated glyph does not show its original grouping.
Questions people ask
1Why does 𘳔 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
